Activities will include identifying current opportunities for wind, solar and wave apparatus platforms and roof apparatus, and work with UCSC engineering faculty to identify possible design elements required to support a research station. A potential analysis of future experimental activities that such a facility could support as well as establishing initial dialog with regional regulatory agencies and marine researchers on potential environmental impacts of the facility may be a component of this project.
