This past Friday the Project for Innovation and Entrepreneurship headed to San Jose to the Silicon Valley Joint Venture State of the Valley Town Hall. The main keynote speaker was Richard Florida, author of The Rise of the Creative Class. We highly suggest reading this book. In it, Florida details how the future of the United States does not lie in Farming, Manufacturing or services. Instead he believes that the “creative class” will be our major economic engine. The creative class are people who are innovating everyday in their lifestyles and jobs.
