Santa Cruz Application Development – Web Development
Santa Cruz Application Development is looking for two interns with PHP/MySQL experience to work on a customer facing series of web portals. The portals are designed to aggregate data from multiple systems into a single interface with a common look and feel. Customers will be able to change settings and update information within the portals.
The portal will be built on top of cutting edge open source software including a PHP based MVC framework, Object Relational Mapper, and Javascript/AJAX UI. You will work with production development tools including the Eclipse IDE, Revision Control System, Ticket/Issue Tracker, and software testing tools. Emphasis will be placed on Agile programming techniques including object oriented PHP and Clean Code.

Candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Basic understanding of PHP and MySQL
- Experience in at least one Object Oriented language
- An understanding of Classes, Inheritance, and Scope
Experience with any of the following a plus:
- PHP Framework (Cake, CodeIgnighter, Symfony, Yii, etc)
- Javascript Frameworks (JQuery, MooTools, YUI, Xajax, etc)
- Object Relational Mappers (Propel, Doctrine, Active Record, etc)
- Templating engines (Smarty, CTPP, etc)
- Third Party APIs
- Web Servers (Apache, nginx, light_http)
- Advanced CSS
- Linux Shell
