Applying for one of the internships that are currently offered, forwards your resume and application to your potential future boss and BCC the PIE admins. If you are contacted directly by the employer, set up an interview. Otherwise, you will be assisted by the PIE program coordinators to get in touch with the employer to help you get that internship. Furthermore, PIE works closely with faculty and associated departments at UCSC to help you get credit for your work. Most likely, the internships through PIE either deliver you credit or are paid through the employer.
